Warehouse Assistant (Temporary Roles)
Location: Kingswood, Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire
Pay: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour
Hours: 30-40 hours/week (Monday to Friday, with some Saturday shifts)
We’re currently hiring four full-time temporary warehouse assistants to support our busy peak season. These roles are perfect for hard-working, hands-on individuals who enjoy being part of a small, friendly, and supportive team. Whether you're a student looking for temporary work or someone who thrives in fast-paced, physical roles, this could be a great fit. You’ll be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operation, with full training provided.
Contract Periods
We are recruiting for the following four temporary roles:
- Role 1: 4th August – 31st March
- Role 2: 1st September – 30th January
- Role 3: 1st October – 23rd December
- Role 4: 1st October – 23rd December
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload deliveries in a safe and timely manner
- Organise and store stock in racking and shelving
- Pick products according to order sheets
- Pack and dispatch orders for both retail and trade customers
- Operate basic warehouse software and internal systems
- Perform general warehouse duties to support smooth operations
- Work independently and collaboratively with the team
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and care when handling products
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who can thrive in a hands-on, physical role and contribute to a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Good physical fitness – able to lift up to 25kg and stay on your feet for extended periods
- Comfort with bending, twisting, and working at height (e.g. using ladders)
- Basic IT skills and confidence using internal systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A diligent, dependable, and self-motivated attitude
- The ability to stay calm and productive under pressure
- A willingness to learn, take initiative, and support colleagues as needed
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport (preferred, due to our semi-rural location)
Working Hours
- 30-40 hours/week
- Warehouse open Monday to Friday, 8 am - 6 pm
- Shifts are either 8 am - 4 pm or 10 am - 6 pm
- Saturday shifts (9 am - 1 pm) are on a rota basis and are compensated with a full day off during the week
Required Skills & Experience
- English language fluency
- Basic IT proficiency
- Ability to commute to Kingswood, Wotton-Under-Edge
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications
